Nashville Public Television received an award for Aging Matters: Companionship & Intimacy during the 35th Annual Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards held virtually on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021.
NPT won in the documentary/topical category, with statuettes going to Will Pedigo and Jason Code.
Aging Matters: Companionship & Intimacy covers various kinds of relationships and intimacy issues, including romantic companionship and discussions of sexuality and sexual activity as we age.
The documentary premiered on Dec. 18, 2019, and is available to stream at https://video.wnpt.org.
The West End Home Foundation has been a major funder of the Aging Matters series since its inception in 2014. NPT has produced seventeen documentaries to-date that explore a variety of issues impacting older adults. Many have received critical acclaim and have aired both regionally and nationally.
