The West End Home Foundation celebrated its 125th anniversary on October 13, 2016. The Old Woman’s Home, later to be renamed The West End Home for Ladies was founded in 1891 to provide residential care to elderly women. (A complete history of the organization is on the website.) A brief presentation highlighted the Foundation’s steadfast commitment to enhancing the lives of senior adults through strategic grant making and raising awareness of senior needs in the community. The event was held at the home of Drs. Arie and Michael Nettles and was attended by current and past Board of Directors and Auxiliary members.
